Youth Baseball/Softball

The Statesboro-Bulloch County Parks and Recreation Department offers an exciting baseball program for ages 4 to 18!

Our program provides an opportunity for youth to participate in a fun, organized and safe baseball environment. Emphasis is placed on the enjoyment of playing baseball while learning basic skills of the game.

The Youth Baseballl recreation season runs March through mid-May. Practices will be held at fields located in the area you select (Statesboro, Brooklet, Portal, Stilson, Nevils). However, game locations may be held at any field in Bulloch County.

The age control date is September 1 of the current year for all leagues. Please note there are NO exceptions to the age control date. No child will be allowed to play out of his/her age category.

Pee Wee Baseball
This program helps 4-year-olds get ready for sports by using a step-by-step approach that builds confidence and self-esteem, while making it fun! A parent and/or guardian (over the age of 18) must be present at each session.

Co-Ed Play
T-Ball league meets twice per week. T-Ball is for first-year players. Rookie is a coach-pitch league. The Rookie league is designed for 6-year-olds who have participated in T-Ball and also for first year 7-year-olds.

2012 Season: FREE to tryout! Tryouts will be held near the end of the recreational league season. $75 fee is paid when player is placed on a team roster. Season runs through mid-July.
