The Statesboro-Bulloch County Parks and Recreation Department offers the opportunity for new and experienced cheerleaders to gain knowledge in the areas of basic cheering while showing team spirit! For ages 5 through 12, the Cheerleading program will teach cooperation, self confidence, respect and all of the important basics of cheerleading...while gaining some great friends too!

Cheerleaders will support the Minor and Midget Tackle league teams by cheering at games. They will also show off their best moves at a Cheer Exhibition at the end of the season.

Cheer Uniforms are not required. However, if you wish to wear a team uniform, then you must be fitted for your uniform prior to August 29. A free t-shirt is given to those cheerleaders who are registered and paid prior to August 29 (while supplies last.)

The age control date is September 1 of the current year. Please note there are NO exceptions to the age control date. No child will be allowed to cheer out of his/her age category.

Special Note: Not all football teams have corresponding cheerleading squads; therefore, not all special requests are granted. Please remember that siblings in the same age group are the only definite guarantee. Also not all areas may have teams.

Can't get enough cheer? Come and improve your cheerleading skills in a fun, relaxed, and safe environment. We will teach our cheerleaders all about the important skills they need to know to be a cheerleader along with cooperation, self confidence, respect and great friendships.

(The age of the child on September 1, 2011 will determine league.)
Both camps will meet at the Honey Bowen Building.

Learn basic tumbling skills along with the proper techniques. These are cheerleading-based classes for ages 3 and up. Age control date is September 1, 2011. Drop-ins are welcome for only $5 a day. Instructor Taylor Bocock is a former SBCPRD cheerleading coach and had 7 years of experience with teaching and coaching youth tumbling/cheerleading.
