The Select Soccer Program is for U10-U19 players seeking the highest levels of competition. Select teams compete against teams from throughout Georgia.

Travel is required.
Registration and monthly fees are in addition to the $15 tryout fee.

All players must attend a scheduled tryout in order to be considered for a team. Tryouts will be conducted by nationally licensed youth coaches.  The tryout fee is $15.00 and due at the tryout session. All players will receive a t-shirt with a number for the process of trying out. Players should arrive early to stretch and warm-up as tryouts begin promptly at the scheduled time.

Teams:
SBCPRD strives to offer select teams for boys and girls in various age groups. On occasion a player must participate in an older age group because no "true" playing age group team can be offered for that player. It is expected that once a player is selected and agrees to play that he or she is committed to the team for the year i.e. fall and spring season.

Cost:
$255 per season which covers GYSA registration and SBCPRD registration and coaching fee. All coaching expenses for regular season league games are covered. The cost for tournaments is not covered nor is the travel expense for the coach to the tournament.

Travel:
On average, SBCPRD select teams have 4 or 5 away games. These away games are usually in the metro Atlanta area but can be anywhere in the state GA. SBCPRD request that the away games be played as a Saturday/Sunday pair so that the teams only need to make two or three road trips.

Coaching:
The SBCPRD assigns the select coaches for each team. All of our select coaches are USSF licensed with most holding a "D" or better license.

Schedules:
The regular fall season will run from early September to mid November. The regular spring season will run from early March to mid May. Team tryouts are held in June.

Tournaments:
The cost for all tournaments is not included in the registration fee and is handled by each team.

Training:
Most select teams train twice a week at Mill Creek Soccer Complex. Days and times vary based on the team and field availability.

Uniforms:
Uniforms are the responsibility of the player. All SBCPRD select teams will use the same set of uniforms for the fall and spring season. Total cost for Jerseys, shorts and socks should be about $85. These uniforms will be ordered in early July once teams have been selected and declared with GYSA.
