C.I.T. Program & Building Bulloch Pride
(Counselor in Training)

The Counselor in Training Program (C.I.T.) provides young adults (ages 13-15) who are too old to attend the day camp program, but not old enough to be a paid Counselor, the opportunity to develop the social, physical, emotional and mental skills necessary to become an exceptional and employable Youth Programs Counselor.

This year we have added a new program to the CIT program called Building Bulloch Pride, this program will allow us to expand the program to local area businesses and organizations. We will transport the participants to a different organization each week where they can learn different ways to give back to their community.

In order to obtain a position, numerous criteria must be met. Participants must complete 3 weeks of volunteer time to complete the program but have the option to do as many as you would like as well as 2-3 training dates. Participants must complete the full application as well as go through an interview with camp counselors. Participants will assist in all day camp activities as well as volunteer at our participating organizations depending on the week.

Please pick up an application at the Honey Bowen Building.

The cost of the program is $25 for the summer and will cover t-shirts for each participant as well as transportation throughout the summer.
