Join us for the 2nd annual Fall Kickoff to celebrate the offical opening of fall sports at Mill Creek Regional Park. This free event will begin with a parade of athletes and opening ceremony on Field 2 including soccer, football, and cheerleading and continue with a variety of games and activites in the festival area by the large pavilion. Punt, Pass, and Kick Competition Saturday-- September 18 9:30 am-11:30 am
The Pepsi Punt, Pass, and Kick contest will be held September 18 at Mill Creek Regional Park. The contest is for ages 8 to 15. Boys and girls compete separately. This is a free competition. Sign up at the event.

Elks Soccer Shoot Saturday-- September 25 9:30-11:30am

The Elks Soccer Shoot contest will be held on Saturday, September 25 at Mill Creek Park. The contest is free and open to boys and girls ages 6-13 (as of Aug 1, 2010) Sign up at the event.
Scare in the Boro (presented by Subway)-- October 28-30 7:30-10pm
Splash in the Boro Waterpark turns into Scare in the Boro as it opens up as a Haunted Waterpark on October 28-30. Take a haunted walk through the Lazy River...if you dare. $5 admission. For ages 13 and over only.
Trick or Treat at Mill Creek & Scare in the Boro (presented by Subway)-- October 29 6-8:30pm
Mill Creek Park is the place for lots of candy and entertainment! Children can participate in a costume contest, trick or treat at numerous candy stops or even take a walk through a haunted Lazy River! (Don't worry parents...it's "kiddie haunted" from 7:30 until 8:30pm!)
Pet Fun Day--Saturday, October 30 10am-3pm
Join the Humane Society and Statesboro-Bulloch Parks & Recreation Deparment at Memorial Park for a day to celebrate your pet! The day will consist of agility demonstration, horse rides, dog & cat contest and more! Donations for tickets are accepted. We want to invite everyone who has adopted pets to join us at the event.
Georgia Special Olympics Fall Games--November 12-14, 2010
Statesboro is proud to host the 2010 Georgia Special Olympics Fall Games October at Mill Creek Regional Park. Over 1,500 Special Olympic participants from around the state will head to Statesboro to participate in bocce, cycling, team softball, softball skills, long distance walking and running, golf, and golf skills competitions. All events are free and open.
GSU International Festival-- Saturday, November 20 10am-4pm
The 2010 International Festival will be held at Mill Creek Regional Park. It will feature a Parade of Countries, a Global Village representing 14 countries, an International Bazaar, International Culinary Delights, and the World Stage featuring entertainment.
Santa's Calling-- December 6-8
Children ages 7 and under can receive a personalized phone call from Santa! Stop by the Honey Bowen Building on Fair Road or visit our website at www.bullochrec.com to complete a form by November 24. Also, children will receive applications at school.
Subway Local Track Meet-
This is a free program for ages 7 to 14. Meet includes track and field events. First 250 registered get a free event t-shirt! Age control date is December 31, 2010. Pre registration at the Honey Bowen Building or at the meet one hour prior to start time. Meet will take place at Statesboro High School track.
Swing Into Spring --
This FREE event is the official opening of Baseball & Softball Season! Cheer your team on and join us for the Annual Swing into Spring at Mill Creek. The night includes prizes, music, interactive games, a parade of teams, first pitches and fireworks. Special thanks to Farmers and Merchants Bank for being the title sponsor!

Kids…bring your bait and fishing pole for a fun morning at Mill Creek Pond. SBCPRD and the Bulloch Bassmasters are bringing you the 4th Annual Fishing Rodeo. Winners receive trophies and prizes. All participants are entered in a drawing for door prizes.

We'll have all of the traditional activities, including interactive games, frog jump, greased pole climb, and Subway's Sub Eating Contest! Adults and kids alike will enjoy the musical talent we have lined up for this year! The evening will conclude with a spectacular Fireworks Show provided by Briggs and Stratton!
