Swing Into Spring --Friday, March 28, 2008   4 p.m.
This FREE event is the official opening of Baseball & Softball Season! Cheer your team on and join us for the Annual Swing into Spring at Mill Creek. The night includes prizes, music, interactive games, a parade of teams, first pitches and fireworks. Special thanks to Farmers and Merchants Bank for being the title sponsor!

Splashy's Fun Swim - April 7-11, 2008 (Mon - Fri)
This event will take place from 2-4 p.m. On Monday, Wednesday and Friday, there will be games, and water safety will be taught. On Tuesday and Thursday, there will be Kayak Instruction. The cost is $3/swimmer.

Splashy's Youth Triathlon - Sunday, April 27, 2008
Come out and show us what you got at 2 p.m. in Splash in the Boro and Mill Creek Park. The cost is $35/athlete and ages 7 to 17.

Volunteers are a LARGE part of our Recreation DepartmentÕs success! In order to recognize and thank all of you, we will honor our 2007-2008 volunteers with a cookout at Splash in the Boro. BassMasters Fishing Rodeo --Saturday, May 17, 2008
Kids…bring your bait and fishing pole for a fun morning at Mill Creek Pond. SBCPRD and the Bulloch Bassmasters are bringing you the 3rd Annual Fishing Rodeo. Winners receive trophies and prizes. All participants are entered in a drawing for door prizes.

FIRECRACKER FEST - Friday, July 4, 2008 - 4-11pm
Join Sea Island Bank and the Statesboro-Bulloch County Parks and Recreation Department as we celebrate the 4th with a bang at Mill Creek Regional Park from 4 until 11 p.m.. We'll have all of the traditional activities, including interactive games, frog jump, greased pole climb, and Subway's Sub Eating Contest! Adults and kids alike will enjoy the musical talent we have lined up for this year--The Headliners! The evening will conclude with a spectacular Fireworks Show provided by Briggs and Stratton! Thanks to all the sponsors in Statesboro and surrounding areas that make this event possible! We'll see you at the park on July 4!

A rubber duck race around the Lazy River at Splash in the Boro to benefit the American Diabetes Association! Be sure to purchase your duck!
Pet Fun Day - Saturday, November 1, 2008
Join the Humane Society and the SBCPRD at Memorial Park for a day to celebrate your pet! The day consists of agility demonstrations and dog and cat contests. Donations for tickets are accepted.

Cotton Pickin' Harvest Festival - Friday, October 24, 2008
Do you want a safe and fun way to Trick or Treat? Hey Kids: Trick or Treat, play carnival games and slide down the Giant Slide with your family and friends! Candy and prizes will be given to all children. Enter the Costume Contest too! After the carnival, stay for movies on the big screen. Concessions and traditional festival foods will be available, so come have dinner with us!

The International Festival of Statesboro is held at Mill Creek Park.
