Bulloch County, in partnership with the Town of Brooklet, is seeking public input on a proposed 3.1 mile extension of the S&S Greenway from the Five Points roundabout intersection linking into the Town of Brooklet to Brooklet Elementary School.
Bulloch County and the Town of Brooklet plan to jointly submit a competitive grant application in excess of $1 million to aid in completing this project, with a third of the funds being supported by the recently approved 1% Transportation Local Option Sales Tax. This project is eligible for federal grant funding from the Fixing America’s Surface Transportation (FAST) Act’s Transportation Alternatives Program, which is passed through the Georgia Department of Transportation.
